Kelly Mixon assists clients on a variety of public policy and regulatory issues that come before Congress and other federal and state institutions. Ms. Mixon uses her knowledge and experience to aid clients in the development and implementation of legislative strategies.

Ms. Mixon served several years as a professional staff member in both the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives, where she was successful in establishing and maintaining strong congressional relationships. Ms. Mixon’s experience in the U.S Senate includes serving as Legislative Assistant to Senator Roger Wicker (R-Miss.). In this capacity, Mixon advised the Senator on legislative issues related to the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee as well as the Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.  Before her tenure with Senator Wicker, she served on the personal staff of Senator Trent Lott, until his retirement from the U.S. Senate in December 2007. Ms. Mixon began her career on Capitol Hill as a staff member for then-Representative Roger Wicker in his Washington, D.C. office.

Mixon joins Patton Boggs from the Breaux Lott Leadership Group, where she worked closely with former United States Senators Trent Lott and John Breaux as an associate in the firm.

Originally from Oxford, Mississippi, Ms. Mixon earned a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in History from the University of Mississippi.
